Hello fellow bl
oggers!
First things first... this is my first ever blog so please stay with me on this :) Secondly you should know I talk a lot so my blog posts will no doubt be long, but the content will be epic !
Right! My names Krista and I am a 26 year old Kiwi girl basically living my dream. By all means it has never been that way and i have had to go through a lot of obstacles and worked hard to get to where I am today. I will tell you now I don't regret anything in life, I believe that all things in life happen for a reason even the not so good things, my motto is there is always a positive in a negative no matter what, its the way you look at the situation is what the outcome will be.
I have always wanted to start a blog and thought this time in life is perfect especially in what is going on in the world as we speak...
Alright here is a brief overview of my life... I grew up on a sheep and beef farm in the beautiful Hawkes Bay on the East coast of the North Island, New Zealand. I was super lucky to grow up in such a great environment with such loving parents and family around me. I have always been a go getter and have always wanted to my own thing. Straight out of High School I went over to Canada with my boyfriend for a year and did my OE, one of the best experiences of my life, meet some incredible people and got to do some epic things. Came back to NZ end of 2012 and worked on a beef farm in the Waikato for 7months for my boyfriends family then got a job on a Dairy farm near Palmerston North... that lasted 4 months and I decided I finally wanted to go to University and study Sport business. I enrolled and started that following year. This is where I found my passion and my love for the sport industry and also a sport called Crossfit (I will go into more detail later about this). Once uni was done I got offered a job at a company called FMG Insurance worked there for 1 and a half years. Right through this i was heavily involved in competing in crossfit and was also coaching part-time. Then an obstacle hit in November 2018... my boyfriend of 7 years and I ended things... it was a mutual decision but still didn't make it easy. We both had just grown apart but as I said before there is always a positive.. because this whole situation pushed me into what I am doing now.
After all this happened I had a real good look at my life and what I was doing. I realised I wasn't doing what I wanted and was doing it for others and not myself as such. I got in contact with a few mates over in Australia and they advised me to put up something on the Crossfit Australian page. I did just that and within 20min I have 6 different responses from different Crossfit gyms around Australia. I ended up picking one in Adelaide, I had never been to there before so it was even more exciting! So had 2 months to tell everyone and sell some of my big items. I left NZ on May 1st 2019.. best decision I have made to date. I have been so lucky to meet some amazing people and already done some epic things. Don't get me wrong there have been some ups and downs for sure and I have had to really work my butt off to get to continue to do what I do. But do you know what?! I am the happiest I have been in a long time, doing what I love and being able to help people be the best versions of themselves.. THIS IS MY WHY! I wouldn't change anything!
This Covid-19 situation really shaked up the world and I had to go back to NZ... that is a story for another blog which I will do this week...
Anyway that is just a bit about me and my story.... I will be filling in more detail throughout my blog posts on each topic I talk about. I am super excited to be telling my life story and be able to help you guys be the best versions of yourself. I will be talking about all sorts from tips on how to stay active, reasons why having a positive mindset it key to success and smashing your goals, my experience with mental health issues, nutrition tips, workout ideas and lots more!
Lets go on this journey together, smile together and learn together!
Talk soon,
Krista :) xx
